Toasted Ham and Cheese Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 8 slices marble rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 package Hormel® Natural Choice® Honey Deli Ham
  • Butter, softened

Directions:

  1. Spread apple butter on one side of each slice bread. Top 4 slices bread evenly with ham and cheese. Cover with remaining slices bread, apple butter-side-down. Lightly spread softened butter over outsides of sandwiches.
  2. In skillet, cook sandwiches, turning once, 5 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Notes:


  1. For a flavor twist, use mango chutney in place of apple butter and try Cheddar cheese in place of Swiss.
