Food Tip
There are more than 7,000 types of apples grown in the world. Apples are available all year round but are best in the fall when they have just been harvested. Choose apples that smell sweet and have firm and bruise-free flesh.
Meat Pairing Guide: Turkey
Turkey Bacon Sweet Stack
PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES, SERVES 1
Crisp bacon and apple onion jam are paired with smoked turkey in this sandwich. The bacon complements the turkey's natural saltiness and offers a pleasing textural contrast. The apple and onion jam introduce sweet and sour notes to the palate, which help to illuminate the meat's naturally smoky flavor.
