Smoked Ham Cajun Po Boy
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES, SERVES 1
A Cajun spice blend is used to add a "zip, bang, wow" component to the dish. This sandwich combines the sweet heat of the spice blend with the subtle smoky, salty flavors of the ham. A southern delight for the senses.


Ingredients

1 French demi baguette, sliced

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

1 tablespoon mustard

2 teaspoons store-bought or fresh Cajun Seasoning*

3 slices HORMEL® NATURAL CHOICE™ Smoked Deli Ham

2 slices Swiss or Gruyere cheese

2 leaves Romaine lettuce

4 slices tomato

Directions

Spread mayonnaise and mustard on cut sides of French bread. Sprinkle each side with Cajun seasoning. Layer ham, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes on bottom of bread. Cover with top of bread.

Cajun Seasoning

Ingredients

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon dried thyme leaves

1 tablespoon dried oregano leaves

1 tablespoon ground coriander

1 tablespoon black pepper

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

In small bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well. Store in airtight container.
