Food Tip

A wide variety of mustards can be found on supermarket shelves; however, making your own variation is easy. Add fresh herbs, spices, chilies or even fruit zest to pre-made mustard to make your own signature condiment. What you'll create is a taste experience your guests won't soon forget. To make mustards last, store them in an airtight container and refrigerate after opening. For some mustard, this can extend their life for up to two years.

Ale House Beef and Havarti
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES, SERVES 1
This is a classic pub style sandwich. The buttery accents of the Havarti complement the natural meaty flavor of the beef. While the cheese adds velvety texture, the mustard rounds out the sandwich's mouth feel with the "bumpiness" of the whole mustard seeds. The mustard also offers an interesting sweet/acidic flavor complexity that enhances the natural flavors of the sandwich components.
